Welcome to my little corner of the internet
I'm going to keep my name a secret, for now, but you may call me neb.
In case you haven't figured it out yet: I'm a writer and, I guess, by virtue of this website some kind of author too. Not a fancy-pants 'I got a book deal' type of author, but published nonetheless. I started this website in 2025 to give myself a better creative outlet than a hundred word documents gathering virtual dust. Burned out on writer's block, I decided to give stream of consciousness, i.e. word vomit, writing a try. In other words: I open an empty document, write until my brain runs dry, and then post the end result(s) on this website. Minimal editing, minimal self-criticism, no muss, no fuss.
My greatest influences are, without a doubt David Lynch, who is sorely missed, and Stephen King. But a good dose of Andy Weir, Haruki Murakami, Philip K. Dick, Tove Jansson and many, many, many other authors have inspired me as well. (Not to forget the writers and producers of my favourite tv and films) This may, or may not, be apparent in the vignettes that I have written for my site and, reader beware: my tales tend towards the strange or outright macabre.
I don't want to ramble here for too long, but I hope that you'll spend some time reading my stuff. Such as this tale about two friends, or this one about a light?switch. You can find links to all of my stories on the index page. I would also love to hear your thoughts, comments and/or feedback, so please drop a line in the chatbox on this page, where you will also find other ways to contact me.
Thanks for reading,
Neb
